PRIZE LIST GROWS FOR COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S ANNUAL SUMMER FUN RAFFLE
Waldoboro, Maine - John Blamey, President of the Medomak Valley Community Foundation, announced the addition of three more prizes for the Foundation's annual Summer Fun Raffle for The Waldoboro Community Project. The Community Project is a fund raising campaign to develop a recreation and community center complex on Town-owned land behind Miller Elementary School. Private donations will finance the bulk of this project, in a phased development plan.
President Blamey stated, "The Foundation is very grateful to for these prize donations. This year, Perley Bousquet donated two white cedar garden decorations to our prize list: a six-foot tall pyramid trellis, and a four and one-half foot wide garden bench. In addition, we received a Red Sox World Series commemorative photo from an anonymous donor. These three new prizes broaden the raffle's appeal and continue to enhance our theme of promoting healthy summer activities."
Summer Fun Raffle's grand prize is four Loge Box Seat tickets to the Sox vs. Twins game on Sunday, July 31st. In addition, there is an autographed picture of Jason Varitek, donated by the Red Sox, a $200.00 Hannaford Gift Certificate, donated by the Waldoboro Hannaford store, and a $100.00 Gift Certificate from Maine Sport Outfitters of Rockport.
President Blamey continued, "Tickets are available at various locations in Waldoboro, including Hillside Collision Center, The Movie Pizza Shoppe, the Waldoboro VFW on Monday evenings, John Foster Little League Field before most games, and from members of the Foundation. Raffle tickets can also be ordered on-line at the Foundation's website at www.themvcf.org/events, or by calling me at 832-7761. Raffle tickets will be available on Waldoboro Day, June 18, 2005. Our booth will be located at the corner of Jefferson and Main Street, stop by to learn more about the Waldoboro Community Project and take part in the raffle."
The raffle prize drawing will begin at 11:30 a.m., on June 18, at the Foundation's booth.
