With the continuing dry weather, the work is progressing on schedule. The crew is continuing to screen and move the loam pile to open the area for leveling the base layer of the fields.

The perimeter of the site near the wetland is beginning to take shape as the crew begins to place the boulders for the retaining wall seen at the left of this photo.

In addition, Crooker is moving drainage supplies onto the site in preparation for laying in the grassed undersurface drain system.

The crew has also opened up more of the site by clearing the brush near Miller School. The trees visible at left are the on the line with the abutting property.

This will be the perimeter of the site and will include the road and additional parking near the Babe Ruth League field.

This view shows how the easterly boundary of the site is taking shape as the crew begins to remove material from one side of the site and move it to the lower area near the wetland.

As the area is cleared, Justin, the site supervisor, is setting markers for the field contouring. This photo shows how GPS has changed the construction business. Justin uses a receiver and plotter to communicate through a satellite with Crooker’s computer in Topsham, which has an electronic copy of the design plans.
